We value our human capital above anything else, and we follow through every step of the manufacturing process to ensure our values and commitments are always at the forefront of everything we do. We believe that every single step in the production line is absolutely vital to achieve a clean, effective and sustainable process that makes Alucan what it is today.
Our production process is ever changing, as our I+D team works incessantly to provide a product that adapts to the needs of each of our clients. Our fundamental raw material, is aluminium which is 100% recyclable and can be 100% recycled upon a customer request. The recycled aluminium we use, is Post-Consumer Recycled as we recover packaging used by consumers to then wash it, crush it and return it to the production process. Furthermore, in order to reduce the environmental impact of aluminium and provide a functional, lightweight product, we mix raw aluminium with alloys, ensuring our commitment to aluminium is found in the very composition of our packaging. Every single step of the process follows the most rigorous quality controls and our internal lacquers have FDA approval suitable for food use and are BAP-NI (BPA Non Intended) at the customer’s request.
Once our base product is created, the possibilities are endless. Our clients can choose from an array of formats, necks or closures that uniquely suit their project and purpose. In fact, one of the great advantages of aluminum aerosols and bottles is the option of printing the entire surface. Thus, we offer a wide range of inks over varnishes that allows our customers to achieve a completely personalised, tailored packaging with a unique value added.
Of course, throughout our production process we attempt to incorporate as many measures as necessary to ensure that we are contributing to an environmentally-friendly world, from only utilising contracted electricity from renewable energy sources and high-efficiency cogeneration, to reducing waste in our manufacturing process by improving the efficiency of our operations, to involving each and every one of our employees encouraging the elimination of planting consumption in offices, plant and production.
Lastly, the opening of our last two plants, in Llinars and Lummen, proves our commitment and unique focus towards constant innovation, as we have continuously improved our process incorporating modern, environmentally friendly facilities and the most cutting-edge technology to provide the utmost production capacity that brings us closer to our national and international clients. Only in the last 6 years, we have significantly reduced our carbon footprint in the manufacturing process, invested in a High Speed line in response to our growing demand, and increased our production to an expanding international network.
