Here at Alucan we believe sustainability should be at the forefront of everything we do. Therefore we work to ensure we reduce the effects of aluminum production on our climate. The key to our success? Our effective environmental plan targets sustainability as a whole by focusing on 4 environmental areas that improve our activity as we reach for energy sources that are more respectful towards our environment. These 4 areas include:

By targeting them separately we are able to set practicable, achievable goals that allow us to develop sustainably as a business.
For our product, we do not only produce a 100% recyclable and ecological product, but we are also able to use aluminum that is 25%, 50%, and 100% recycled upon customer request. The recycled aluminum used is PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled), which means it comes from packaging used by consumers that is then recovered, washed, and crushed to return to the production process. For our Production, we focus on improving the efficiency of resources in our operations and reducing waste both of which are at the core of our manufacturing processes. By prioritizing the reduction of our carbon footprint we are able to lower our costs and improve our packaging supply chain. Our production facility is ISO 14001 certified. In terms of our Facilities and utilities, we implement effective management systems and continuously choose to invest in clean technologies. For example, the contracted electricity that Alucan consumes is electricity from renewable energy sources and high-efficiency cogeneration. Finally, in terms of transport, we focus on the maximum occupation of trucks and packages to reduce CO2 emissions for a more sustainable transport and prioritize the use of more environmentally friendly packaging like Kraft paper, recycled cardboard, reused pallets, and returnable separators.
