We are thrilled to announce the opening of Alucan’s new sustainable plant in Lummen, Belgium. As a leading aluminum bottle and aerosol company, this represents a significant step forward towards our international ambitions and our commitment to sustainable practices.
The new plant is a sustainable building designed with minimal environmental impact and maximum energy efficiency in mind. The facility’s construction features thermal insulation in the floor, outside walls, roof, doors, ports, and offices. The use of natural daylight has also been maximized to reduce the need for artificial light, with LED lights controlled by sensors to ensure minimal waste.
The offices feature sun-resistant glazing and transparent screens that allow natural light to filter in, while the smart control systems provide optimized office climatization, heating installation, and illumination. The plant has a sanitary water system that takes advantage of rainwater, which is used for various purposes, and the entire building is foreseen with a Smart Building System.
One of the most exciting features of our new plant is its solar panel system. The plant’s self-produced energy reduces its reliance on traditional power sources and significantly reduces its carbon footprint. Additionally, the plant features an energy recovery system from RTO or compressors, and a charging place for electric cars.
The plant’s dimensions are approximately 7500m2 of warehouse and production, and 500m2 of office space, which offers enough room for efficient and sustainable production. We believe our new facility demonstrates Alucan’s commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices that paves the way for a future of sustainability within the manufacturing industry.
As we continue to prioritize sustainability, our new plant is an excellent example of what can be achieved when we focus on environmental responsibility. Alucan creates at your service.
